Minus 3 Kilos in 10 Days – Cereal Based Diet
This is a relatively new type of diet that promises a lot! Cereal based diet promises to help you get out up to three kilograms in 10 days without starving yourself and even giving you the opportunity to enjoy three main meals and two snacks, each day.
The key principles for this diet are: two of the three main meals should be based on cereals, milk and fruits. The other meals must be normal, meaning a soup, a salad with grilled meat or any other combination of vegetables or fresh fruit. Snacks can also be composed of fruits, cereal bars, a yogurt or a glass of natural fruit juice with 2-3 dietetic biscuits.

Duration – Cereal based diet lasts for 10 days and is designed primarily for quick weight loss and also to help you get used to a healthy breakfast (whole cereals with milk and a fruit).
Restaurant – Of course you can have lunch at the restaurant because in one of the main meals, you are allowed to eat any (healthy!) food. The other two main meals will be made of cereals and milk.
Coffee – a cup of coffee is allowed in the morning before breakfast, but without sugar.
Are you a Vegetarian? – There is no problem, you can keep this diet and if you’re lacto-vegetarian. If you adopted the vegetarian diet, then you can normally replace milk with soy milk.
Advantages of the Cereal Based Diet:
Firstly, whole grains with milk are a rich source of fiber, carbohydrates and calcium, and nutrition studies shown so far that, in general, the calcium coming directly from foods help people lose weight.
Secondly, regular meals, especially breakfast taken regularly every day, help in weight loss.
And third, it was shown that replacing a main meal with whole grains, can help in weight loss in a relatively short time.
Disadvantages for Following the Cereal Based Diet:
- You may get bored quickly of cereals with milk.
- You will need three meals rich in vegetables and fruits for your body to receive the necessary vitamins and nutrients for normal development.
- If after finishing the diet you do not change your lifestyle and you return to unhealthy eating habits, you might gain weight again.
Morning: A bowl of integral cereals and milk + An orange or a kiwi + Coffee or tea
Lunch: Vegetable and grilled beef + A glass of white wine
Snack: A fruit
Dinner: Cereals with milk and some almonds.
