Wedding Dress Trends From 2016 Bridal Fashion Week

Fortunately, the designer collections for 2016 offer elegant wedding outfits, but totally unexpected. It’s not just about white lace, there is a new trend, great for any skin type! Warm tones of beige, cream, nude – pink catch a new life with the help of super refined details applied on new dresses, decorated with feathers, embroidery and crystals. (Monique L’ HUILLIER )
New Lenghts
The designers were inspired by the new trend lengths (midi and mini) that celebrities preferred to wear when appear on the red carpet at major events. We are glad that we got rid of the taboos regarding gala dress. In 2016 everything is possible! Let’s not forget how normal it was wearing a white mini wedding dress in the 50s and 60s (Rita Vinieris, Oscar de la Renta)
3d Floral Details
Although it was present in previous years, the trend of 3D floral detail is gaining momentum in 2016. In a classic decor, Angel Sanchez introduced the new line of wedding dresses accessorized with lots of flowers arranged in lace, while Oscar de la Renta came out to the ramp with modern dresses, three-dimensional laser-cut flowers. Conservative brides were not forgotten, Marchesa presented at Bridal Fashion Week a few classic floral dresses, full of texture.
Illussion Styles
Bridal dresses designers have reinvented themselves using materials of pure illusion for neckline, bodices and skirts. Hayley Paige submitted an ethereal tulle dress with a bodice of completely nude floral embellished with applications. Reem Acra stood out with sexy dresses, whose illusion-style details were extended over the entire body, covered with ornaments carefully placed.
