Hard-working women always have a never-ending to-do list; so it is understandable why they would make a face at the thought of a 10-step skincare routine. Most of them do not have the time for a long and complicated skincare regimen.

But for many women, they also want healthier and younger-looking skin without taking too much of their time. But how could you give your skin the pampering it needs when you have a busy schedule? You could do several things that do not take ten steps to give your skin a healthy glow.;

So before slipping into the comfy blanket that you bought from a quilt store, make sure you have given your skin the love it deserves. Don’t worry; it does not always have to be about applying lots of products that can take so much of your time.

1. Never Go to Bed With Makeup On

Going to bed with makeup on exposes the skin to free radicals. These could come from UV rays, smog, pollution and makeup, and could instigate collagen breakdown. That means it can cause wrinkles and fine lines, making you look old than your actual age. Not removing the makeup before bed can also clog the pores that can lead to breakouts, and your makeup could also stain your favorite blankets and quilts.;

So you won’t have to take a trip to the nearest quilt store because you ruined yours, use a makeup removing cleanser before going to bed. You could use an oil-based cleanser or micellar cleansing water to remove dirt and makeup. If you plan to use an oil-based cleanser, remember to wash your face with water and soap to remove any remaining oils and makeup.

2. Get Enough of Sleep

The body recovers, replenishes, and recharges when we sleep. Getting the right amount of sleep is vital, not just for the skin, but also for your overall health.

When you are asleep, the body is restored and cleansed, giving your skin a healthy glow. And the opposite of that happens if you have poor sleeping habits. Here are some possible results of not getting enough sleep:

  • saggy corners of the mouth

3. Drink Plenty of Water

The skin may look parched and dry when you are dehydrated. It shows on the skin because the skin cells are mostly made up of water. That’s why it is necessary to drink enough water every day.

Eight glasses of water should be the minimum count of your water intake daily. This will get rid of body and skin toxins, making your skin look dewy.

4. Be Mindful of What to Eat

Being busy all day makes it hard to allot time to do a skincare routine at night. Well, try to achieve beautiful and healthy skin by eating food that your skin will love. Quit the junk food and start looking for food that is rich in antioxidants like greens, then fish, and nuts. This type of food is crucial for healthy glowing skin. And remember, you are what you eat. The skin is a reflection of everything that went into the mouth.

5. Ditch the Foundation

If possible, ditch the whole makeup thing. After all, every minute counts when you are a busy woman. Going makeup-free allows the skin to breathe and prevents breakouts, dry skin, and wrinkles.

If something needs to be concealed for an important matter, you can opt for a tinted moisturizer. It covers like a foundation and moisturizes the skin at the same time.

6. Sleep Only on a Clean Sheet and Pillowcase

Sweating is inevitable while we sleep. And that gives bacteria the chance to live in the bedsheets and pillowcases. This should be a no-brainer. Sleeping on clean sheets does not only contribute to better rest, but it also lessens the chances of the face, back, and chest to breakout. So better change the sheets and pillowcases regularly.

7. Apply Sunscreen Every Day

Never, ever leave the house without wearing sunscreen. And even when staying indoors, one must apply their SPF. It is a protection from the harmful UV rays of the sun. Not only that, many studies suggest that daily use of sunscreen can reduce the risk of getting skin cancer.

8. Have an Effective and Smart Skincare Routine
