Most individuals already know that proper care for the skin doesn’t just involve the washing of the face. In fact, to maintain its youth and glow, other products like exfoliators, cleansers, and moisturizers are important. However, due to the trend of skin and hair care, a lot of aesthetic institutions were established and several different beauty products were produced. Although this adequacy sounds appealing, it could also be intimidating especially when looking for the best product to use.

As such, beauty products are now categorized according to their uses or purpose, the ingredients they are composed of, and the way they are applied. And as a guide for these entities, below are some of the most common types of beauty products available in the stores today.

Cleanser

A cleanser is a product used to clean the face. Unlike soaps, this is composed of minerals, vitamins, and other ingredients that could help nourish the skin. Cleansers remove the bacteria, pollutants, and dirt sticking on the skin; this is important in preventing acne breakouts and the presence of blackheads. Depending on the materials it is made of, some cleansers help tighten the pores, and some help the oil production; to know other types of cleansers, visit cosmetic & beauty products online.

Exfoliator

Exfoliator is a chemical or a solid material that is used to remove the dead skin present on the surface of the body. A chemical exfoliator is a product composed of chemicals like glycolic acid and salicylic acid to dissolve or break the bonds within the cells of the dead skin. On the other hand, a manual or physical exfoliators slough away these cells through a mechanical force.

Serum

Used after the cleanser, serums are the vitamins of the skin. This product helps fight the radical damage, stimulate the production of collagen, and hydrate the skin. Usually, serums contain antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients like peptides and retinol. This can also be used before the moisturizer to treat the skin during the night.

Treatment

Treatment beauty products are used to help specific skin concerns like inflammation, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and acne. Regulated and approved by FDA, these can be sold in the form of medical facial pads, serums, solutions, lotions, gels, and creams. Although they have various skin conditions to help with, treatments commonly have active ingredients like tretinoin, adapalene, topical stereos, salicylic acids, benzoyl peroxide, and Vitamins C.

Also, it is highly recommended for individuals to immediately consult a dermatologist if they happen to experience symptoms of skin conditions to prevent further complications.

Moisturizer

Moisturizers are one of the most common products sold on both land-based and online beauty institutions like cosmetic & beauty products online. Generally, these entities are composed of hyaluronic acid and glycerin to help the skin look young and hydrated. It is also recommended to use it twice daily within the neck, face, feet, knees, and elbows to prevent flaking and dryness.
