The Bants – What Are They, Just Leggings + Boots, or More?
You know, recently Kim Kardashian wore Balenciaga bants in real world, a crazy outfit that made her booty even larger. But not about her booty we’re talking about now, but a new combo of high heels and leggings.
What Are the Bants and Where They Came From?
The story goes that Tamara Mello, a shoe designer came with the idea of combining the boots and the leggings and presented this combo a few years ago. Then they made a more glamorous appearance in the Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2017 show as part of Demna Gvasalia’s first collection.

Before the Balenciaga show (I guess), they were worn by Karlie Kloss, Taylor Swift, Rita Ora, Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez.
But the real fuss was when Kim Kardashian appeared at a New York event wearing (it seems) the Balenciaga version.
But Are the Bants “wearable”?
Well, let’s see:
- In hot weather they are horror
- They are pretty much “quick sex” proof! 😉
- Not that easy to wash – send them to dry cleaners.
- Costs a fortune
But, on the other side.. you’ll make a splash wearing these at an event, right? I guess it’s a statement, actually.
