Beauty is a very subjective thing, and it changes over time. There are hundreds of ways which we can use to keep our beauty from changing, or from fading, but the best ones are undoubtedly the natural remedies which are available, since they don’t come with any of the less-appealing side effects that more mainstream remedies can have.
There are almost as many natural remedies as there are people, so read on for some of our favourites.
Blood flow to your scalp is essential for healthy hair to grow – help your blood flow by incorporating massage into your hair washing routine. Simply use the pads of your fingers to gently massage your scalp in circular motions, making sure that you cover every inch of skin. You can use oil, or use no oil, as you prefer – though if you use oil it gives you the chance to choose an oil which is specifically noted to be good for hair, such as castor oil, argan oil, or coconut oil.
Use Oil on Your Scalp
Using oil on your hair can be intensely beneficial for it – we are all aware of the hydrating properties of coconut oil, and now we are all aware of argan oil and how it is good for our hair. What many people don’t know about is castor oil. Castor oil is not well-liked, since most people associate it with medicine – the taste is admittedly not very nice – but the oil is rich in vitamin E and fatty acids, both of which are necessary for healthy hair. Leave the oil in your hair for three quarters of an hour, and then rinse thoroughly, and washing normally.
Use Oil on Your Nails
Nail health is indicative of overall health – nails that grow well mean you are healthy, nails that split, break, and grow slowly, show that you need to change something.
One way to encourage good nail growth is to use an oil such as olive oil every night before you go to bed. Simply massage a small amount of oil into your nails and the surrounding areas, and put a pair of gloves on to keep the oil on until it has been absorbed.
Use Orange Juice on Your Nails
Orange juice might sound like an odd one, but the ingredients and vitamins in it are essential for healthy nails and healthy nail growth. For the best results from orange juice, soak your nails in it for a pre-determined amount of time, pat them dry, and then apply moisturiser.
Use Lemon Juice on Your Hair
Lemon juice is something which a lot of people use as a rinse on their hair. Lemons lighten skin and hair naturally, so you might need to be careful with how you use it, but if you want your hair to look paler naturally, wash your hair as normal, and then rinse it with a mix of one part lemon juice to two parts water. Do this until you achieve the results you want.
