Your Hair Needs Love, So Start Taking Care of It

Quick Weaves

You are probably familiar with smartphone applications like Snapchat; those that use filters to change your face and style and let people have fun. But I am trying to prove something else here. Head to your Snapchat and take a selfie with the bald head effect. If you are not sure which filter is that, it is simply the one that removes your hair and makes you look bald. I am pretty sure that you would be surprised and even shocked to see yourself in this new look. This is the simplest and easiest way to prove that hair plays a significant role in your overall look.

But many of us underestimate this significance. Let’s put those people that are aware of the importance of haircare aside and consider the majority of others. We go shopping and as we reach the haircare section, we just pick the first shampoo that we see. We don’t even look at the labels and read what has been written on the package. If you ask us what kind of shampoo we are using, the answer would be “um… a black shampoo”. Just change the black to any other color and that would be the majority of answers.

Hair Is Sensitive and Needs to Be Taken Care of Carefully

Especially when it comes to hair care and the shower filter we use.. Next time, before buying a random shampoo at the mall, consider the type of your hair. Hair can be divided into three main categories: normal, dry, and oily. Search online and find out what type of hair you have. You can run a simple test for yourself. The day after you have washed your hair, put a tissue on your scalp. If you see a small spot of oil on the tissue, it means that you have normal hair. If your hair was greasy and the strands stick together, it is a sign of oily hair. And finally, if neither of these happened, you have dry hair. Choosing the right shampoo can improve the health of your hair significantly.

Then There Is Moisturizing

Make sure to moisturize your hair and scalp every day. There are great articles on the internet that help you understand how moisturizing helps you achieve soft, shiny, and healthy hair. To put it simply, moisturizing your hair prevents hair dryness. Which in turn weakens your hair. Dry hair is more prone to damages. Hair breakage, split ends, dandruff, hair thinning, and even hair loss are some of the results of having weak and unhealthy hair. Using moisturizers can help you keep your hair and scalp wet enough. Fortunately, aside from hair moisturizers that you can buy from pharmacies, you can also make DIY home-made hair moisturizers too. So, if you have sensitive hair or you are not sure about using chemicals, there is a great alternative for you here.

And Do Not Forget Water Quality

People usually forget how important is water quality when thinking about taking care of their skin. An old pipeline inside your building can pollute water easier than you think. Also, some chemicals are used in the purification process of the water, which can still be found in the water you shower in. This can be called the “hard water problem”. Hard water is water that contains too many of some minerals such as chlorine, calcium, and magnesium. While these elements are not harmful by themselves, and they are even used in water purification systems, large amounts of them can cause serious problems.

Many households are familiar with the hard water problem. And unfortunately, this has a great negative effect on the health of your hair. A simple test to find out about the hard water is checking for a change of taste or looking for clogged pipelines. It is good to know that if you have noticed that you do not see lather from shampoo or soap while taking a shower, it might be a sign of having hard water.

Dealing with hard water might be a little difficult. You might need to change all the pipelines in your house to get rid of hard water. But that is not a 100% fix. You might be living in a neighborhood that is dealing with hard water because of an old piping system or an old water purification facility. But a good hack would be using a shower filter that can remove hard water. You can find useful products on the market that utilize multi-stage filtration and guaranty eliminating hard water.

All in All, It Is Very Important to Take Care of Your Hair

Hair is an important part of your body and many people all around the world are willing to spend a great deal of money on hair transplants to take their hair back. So, if you still have hair on your head, it might be time to start looking at it from a different point of view.
